Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has put in place multi-layered and technology-driven security measures for the Global Summit.
Officers involved in the security said that delegates from India and abroad will stay in designated high security hotels, with organised escorts, personal security officers and liaison officers assigned to each dignitary. All delegates will complete formal registration and receive access passes according to their level of participation. The main hall, which can seat 2,000 people, will host addresses by the Chief Minister and other dignitaries, while departmental meetings will be held to finalise MoUs.
A comprehensive security plan has been divided into 18 sectors covering the venue, routes and surrounding areas. The outer security ring will be handled by Law and Order and Traffic Police, the middle ring by Armed Police and the inner ring by Special Branch, Intelligence and event security teams.
A 25-kilometre route leading to the venue will be secured by police personnel and six check posts under the supervision of a DCP and three ACPs. Seven additional check posts will function round the clock on the southern and eastern sides to prevent unauthorised entry. Foot patrols will monitor the main venue and the helipad.
Parking zones for more than 6,000 vehicles have been arranged around the venue, along with VVIP parking for 1,000 vehicles. A DCP rank officer will supervise all parking operations. The helipad, located 2.5 kilometres from the summit site, will have armed guards and officers deployed along junctions, bylanes and U turn points.
To strengthen surveillance, 115 night vision and PTZ cameras have been positioned across routes, parking areas and the venue, all linked to the Command Control Centre. Ten drone teams will monitor various sectors and provide live feeds. Officers have also been deployed on nearby hillocks equipped with binoculars and VHF communication.
Kandukur Police Station has been designated as the Safe House, while Madhavan Ji Hospital, located 16.5 kilometres away and equipped with 100 beds and nine operating theatres, will serve as the Safe Hospital.
Coordination teams are stationed at RGIA and accommodation sites. The main venue, exhibition hall and delegate meeting areas will be secured by senior police officers, supported by 170 young officers. The Command Control Centre will function round the clock with three ACPs and 50 officers. Technology systems have been put in place to track delegates’ movements from hotels to the venue.
Three platoons each of Octopus and Greyhounds have been deployed for emergencies and area domination. Twenty-five teams will monitor access control, while four watch towers with night vision devices and eight night patrol teams will oversee the surroundings. About 4,500 personnel have been deployed overall. A 150-member communication team will manage all communication systems during the bandobust, and the Traffic Police will oversee movements on the airport route, ORR and the summit area.
