Food Security Card (ration card) holders were urged to complete eKYC process at the earliest, which is used to validate details of the members in the FSC with the Aadhaar card so that benefits are extended to eligible members.
Hyderabad District Civil Supplies Officer K. Srinivas asked the Food Security Card (FSC) holders to go to the nearest Fair Price Shop along with the mobile number seeded with the FSC and Aadhaar card. Or, either of the card numbers have to be used. All members mentioned in a card have to complete the procedure.
Currently, there are 4,25,280 National FSC holders with 16,87,330 members and 41,506 State FSC holders with 1,53,694 members. So far, 64.80% of the card holders completed the process.
