The Telangana Aarogyasri Network Hospitals Association (TANHA) on Monday (September 15, 2025) announced that it would indefinitely withdraw services under the Aarogyasri Scheme across private network hospitals in the State from the midnight of September 16, citing non-fulfilment of repeated assurances on clearing pending payments.

In a statement, TANHA president Vaddiraju Rakesh said the association had held multiple rounds of discussions with Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha and officials of the Aarogyasri Health Care Trust (AHCT) over the past 20 days. While the Minister had assured that the issue was being taken up sincerely, the delays in disbursal of payments had continued.

“Despite repeated assurances and promises from both the Health Department and AHCT, there has been no resolution to our long-pending issues. We are, therefore, left with no option but to indefinitely withhold services across all private network hospitals in Telangana from September 16, 11.59 p.m.,” Dr. Rakesh said.

The association urged beneficiaries and the public to understand their constraints and extended regret for any inconvenience caused due to the suspension of services.

The association earlier boycotted the services at the beginning of the year. However, they called off the 10-day long strike after a meeting with the Health Minister. They have again, in August third week, threatened to launch the strike from August 31 midnight.
