A fisherman from Telangana who was stranded midstream in the Krishna River was rescued by Palnadu district revenue and police officials on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).

Parasani Srinu of Sriram Nagar Colony, Mellacheruvu mandal in Suryapet district, was fishing near Old Chityala village when his boat broke down near the Pulichintala project area.

Following alerts from Telangana authorities, the Palnadu Collector and SP directed Bellamkonda and Sattenapalli officials to act swiftly. With the help of local divers, the team reached the site through a hilly route and rescued Srinu.
