Tata Consultancy Services launched TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab, powered by NVIDIA, on its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru on Wednesday (July 15).

The new facility is expected to serve as a physical AI hub to accelerate the development and real-world deployment of AI-led solutions across mobility and manufacturing using NVIDIA AI Infrastructure.

According to a TCS communique, the lab is aimed at helping enterprises move from pilots to production scale deployment to design, test and validate Industrial AI solutions. It is set to enable customers to leverage TCS and NVIDIA’s ecosystem to rapidly prototype and simulate US cases across a wide range of industries before deploying them in real-world mobility, manufacturing and industrial operations.

Sreenivasa Chakravarti, global head and vice president of Industrial Autonomy and Engineering, TCS, said, “Bengaluru has long been the engine of India’s economy, and this lab harnesses that energy to reimagine what’s possible with AI.” The lab would provide a controlled environment for testing solutions before rollout, reducing deployment risks and improving time-to-market, said TCS.
