A Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) and Lockheed Martin joint venture in Hyderabad has delivered 250th tail component of military airlifter C130J Super Hercules.

Produced in India by the joint venture Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures (TLMAL), at its advanced aerospace facility in Hyderabad, the C-130J tail or empennage is shipped to the United States for integration into C130J aircraft built at Lockheed Martin’s facility in Marietta, Georgia. Lockheed Martin said in a release on Thursday (December 4, 2025) describing the delivery of the 250th component by TLMAL a major milestone in the longstanding aerospace partnership between India and the U.S.

The empennage, the complete C-130J tail assembly and horizontal and vertical stabilizers essential for aircraft stability and control, is a critical component of the military airlifter.

“This 250th delivery highlights the deep collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Indian industry and reinforces India’s growing role in the global aerospace supply chain,” V-P of Air Mobility and Maritime Missions, Rod McLean, said.

“The quality, precision and reliability demonstrated by our Indian partners directly support the C130J fleet that serves 23 nations around the world for 20 missions ranging from humanitarian aid to special operations,” he said.
