Acting on credible information, the Guntur District Police Task Force conducted a surprise raid on a residence in Prakash Nagar under Nallapadu police station limits on Monday evening, unearthing a prostitution racket.

Guntur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal said that the task force team raided the premises and detained two organisers and two women. All four were taken into custody and shifted to the police station for further legal action.

The SP said that the district police have intensified efforts to curb all forms of illegal and anti-social activities. “Police are committed to completely eradicating unlawful practices from the district. The task force will continue to conduct surprise inspections, and stringent action will be taken against those involved in offences such as prostitution,” he stated.
