Mylapore and Saidapet, two constituencies from south Chennai, recorded the lowest voter turnout in the city, registering 74.89% and 77.84% respectively.

At a quarter to 7 a.m., voters began to trickle in at various polling centres in south Chennai, with senior citizens making a beeline.
