More than 3.4 lakh election officials, EVMs dispatched to polling booths across T.N.

The Election Commission of India has made extensive arrangements, setting up over 75,000 polling booths across Tamil Nadu, as the State with 5.73 crore electors is set to elect 234 legislators for its 17th Legislative Assembly on Thursday (April 23, 2026).

Election officials have been sent to their designated polling booths, while Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), including 1,06,418 ballot units, 75,064 control units, and 75,064 VVPAT units, have been dispatched across the State.
