The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday (April 11, 2026) directed the Tamil Nadu government’s Chief Secretary to appoint senior IAS officer K. Manivasan as Home Secretary.
Incumbent Dheeraj Kumar is to be tranferred out and not to be appointed to any election-related post until the completion of the polls, the ECI said in its communication.
