The DMK and AIADMK are contesting in alliance with various parties — the DMK has 13 partners and the AIADMK, 9 — with Congress and BJP being their largest partners, respectively.
In this election, 4,023 candidates are contesting across the State in 234 constituencies. Among them, key candidates include Chief Minister and DMK leader M.K. Stalin in Kolathur, AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Edappadi, TVK president C. Joseph Vijay in Perambur and Trichy East, and NTK leader Seeman in Karaikudi.
