: The Tamil Nadu government has raised the monthly honorarium by ₹5,000 for guest lecturers in government arts and science colleges, ad hoc assistant professors in government-aided colleges, and ad hoc lecturers in government polytechnic colleges with effect from March 1.

The guest lecturers in government arts and science colleges and ad hoc assistant professors in government-aided colleges will now be paid ₹30,000 per month, while ad hoc lecturers in government polytechnic colleges will get ₹25,000 per month.
