T.N. government orders transfer for six police officers

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday transferred six police officers, including five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.

An order issued by K. Manivasan, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), said P.K. Senthil Kumari, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) who is now on compulsory wait, had been posted as IGP, Traffic and Road Safety, Chennai, in the existing vacancy. Dongare Pravin Umesh, Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Western Range, Chennai, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Tiruchirappalli district, replacing S. Selvanagarathinam.

V. Shyamala Devi, SP, Tirupattur district, has been posted as SP-II, Crime Against Women and Children, Chennai, in the existing vacancy. S. Ashok Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Coimbatore City, has been posted as SP, Tenkasi district, in the existing vacancy.

Akshay Anil Wakhare, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Hosur Sub-Division in Krishnagiri district, has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as SP, Tirupattur district. V. Lalith Kumar, ASP, Nagercoil Sub-Division in Kanniyakumari district, has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as SP, Perambalur district.
