The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has endorsed the views expressed by DMK president M.K. Stalin, urging the Governor to take steps to facilitate the swearing in of a new government.
Professor Kader Mohideen, the leader of the party, said his party has not given a letter of support to Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, led by actor Vijay.

Two Left parties have extended unconditional support to the TVK on Friday (May 8, 2026). The party now has the support of nine more MLAs from the Congress (five), CPI (two) and CPI(M) (two). During the recently conducted Assembly election in the State, TVK won 108 seats leading to fractured mandate.
