Due to the hard work of DMK cadre in the run-up to the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, the party would secure the desired result on counting day on May 4, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said in Chennai on Friday (May 1, 2026).

Addressing party workers on the occasion of International Workers’ Day at May Day Park, Mr. Stalin said there would be no change (in the government), and that he was not saying it on the basis of the exit polls, but because he understood the feelings of the party workers.
