Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday (October 2, 2025) instructed officials to ensure that necessary facilities are provided for the procurement of paddy and its storage in warehouses.

In a video conference from his camp office in Chennai, Mr. Stalin held a meeting with collectors of five delta districts and officials of the Co-operative and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

“This year, we have created a record in paddy production, and I have instructed everyone to ensure that necessary facilities are provided at the paddy procurement and storage warehouses,” Mr. Stalin said in a post on X.

“I have also instructed that the paddy grains, the result of farmers’ hard work, are protected until they reach the mill,” he added.

Agriculture Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R. Sakkarapani, and Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa were present in the meeting.
