Suryaradhana was performed in Srisailam temple on the occasion of Rathasaptami on Sunday (January 25).

The ritual was held in the Akkamaha Devi Alankara Mandapam of the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple. The ritual was held praying for peace and prosperity of the country, abundant rains, and to keep the country free from natural disasters. After Kalasastapana, the priests performed Surya Namaskarams chanting mantras.

Later, Suryayantra Puja, Veda parayana, Aruna parayana and mantrapushpam were rendered to the Sun God. Srisailam temple Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao and Vedic priests participated in the Suryaradhana.
