Summer coaching camps begin across Vizag district

The District Sports Authority of Visakhapatnam on Friday launched 65 annual summer coaching camps across 28 sports disciplines in rural and urban centres of the district. The programme will continue till May 31.

Organised under the aegis of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), the camps are aimed at children in the 8–16 age group and seek to introduce them to structured sports training at an early stage. District Sports Development Officer June Gallyot said the initiative is intended to identify promising talent, encourage children to make constructive use of their summer vacation, and promote a healthy lifestyle through regular sporting activity.
