Students urged to take active part in college initiatives

Active participation in technical and innovative initiatives implemented on college campuses sharpens critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of students, said associate dean (Research and Development), K.L. Deemed to be University, SK. Hasane Ahmad on Thursday (January 29).

Speaking at the valedictory session on ‘AI Impact Summit-2026’ pre-events, organised by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Ahmad lauded the creative and innovative streaks showcased by the students in AI. He said the AI short video competition held on the occasion would help students enhance critical thinking and communication skills. 

As part of the pre-summit activities, a student-led ‘AI Innovations’ Exhibition’ was held on January 28, followed by a ‘Campus AI Short Video Competition’ on January 29.

A total of 288 students participated in the two-day event and certificates and cash prizes were awarded to outstanding performances. College principal Kadiyala Ravi encouraged students to participate in such events and hone their skills.

Institution chairperson Dhanekula Ravindranath Tagore, secretary and correspondent Dhanekula Bhavani Prasad, director D.K.R.K. Ravi Prasad, dean (R&D) R. Satya Prasad, dean (Academics) Rajesh Gogineni, heads of the departments, coordinators Y. Ramakrishna and P. Narasimham, along with faculty members and students were present.
