National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) Executive Manager Mumbai Barkha Nigam urged students to consistently explore new ways of acquiring knowledge.
Speaking at the inauguration of the MBA orientation and preparatory classes for the 2026-2028 batch from July 23 to August 14, organised by the School of Management, Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University), she encouraged students to pursue professional certifications alongside their MBA to enhance their employability and competitiveness.
Stressing the importance of effective communication skills irrespective of one’s specialisation, she also urged students to remain aware of current developments and changes in the business environment, as continuous learning and awareness were the keys to long-term career success.
The programme was designed to familiarise the newly admitted students with the expectations of management education, emerging industry trends, career opportunities and the skills required to become competent professionals and future leaders.
Head of the Department Sree Ram emphasised that technical education and management education play equally significant roles in nation-building and economic development. He highlighted that career growth in the management field was expanding rapidly and encouraged students to build strong professional networks and meaningful connections.
Dean, School of Admissions and Student Affairs, Swamy motivated students to dedicate themselves to their academic journey, develop in every aspect and contribute meaningfully towards building a strong and progressive nation.
Dean of All Schools Venkat Rao spoke about the growing importance of both the organised and unorganised sectors in generating business opportunities. He encouraged students not only to read textbooks but also to think beyond them by applying concepts creatively and innovatively. He said opportunities existed across every sector and inspired students to become job creators rather than job seekers, thereby contributing to entrepreneurship and economic development.
Registrar M. Ravichand said that degrees were not ornaments but instruments for transformation.
Director (Infrastructure and Consulting) B. Panduranga Rao said academic excellence combined with innovation leads to success and that continuous effort, practical application, and implementation of knowledge were far more valuable than theoretical learning alone.
