Students in all schools across Kerala will take a cyber safety pledge on the occasion of school reopening on Monday (June 1).

The initiative is being implemented as part of the ‘Kid Glove project’, a programme of the Kerala Police Cyber Wing to create awareness about the pitfalls of the cyber world among students.

The project covers areas including the safe and responsible use of digital platforms, protection from cyber threats, risks associated with online gaming, awareness about fake news, privacy protection, digital addiction, cyber hygiene, social media safety, and responsible digital behaviour.

As part of the programme, the police in collaboration with the General Education department will provide basic cyber safety training to teachers and parents, and organise activities such as quizzes.
