A student pursuing a professional course at a private college allegedly sexually abused two mentally challenged girls in Ramalingeswara Nagar, under NTR Commissionerate limits.

The accused, who befriended the 15-year-old victims, took them to an abandoned house on the Krishna riverbank and raped them. Locals alleged he had been abusing the girls for several months.

Following a complaint, Patamata police registered a case on Saturday, arrested the accused, and sent the victims to Government General Hospital (GGH) for medical examination.
