The State government on Friday published the draft Industrial Relations (Karnataka) Rules, 2026, under sections of the Industrial Relations codes, 2020, inviting objections and suggestions from stakeholders within 45 days of publication.

The draft rules lay down the framework for implementing the Industrial Relations code in the State, including definitions, procedures for written settlements between employers and the workers, and detailed provisions for the constitution and functioning of Works Committees for industrial relations at the establishment level.

The rules will come into force after their final notification in the Gazette.
