In view of the escalating war tensions between Israel and Iran and the resultant disruptions across several Gulf countries, the Andhra Pradesh Government has launched proactive measures to ensure the safety and welfare of Telugu people stranded abroad.

Minister for NRI Empowerment Affairs Kondapalli Srinivas on Monday (March 2, 2026) said the State Government is closely monitoring the evolving situation, particularly after reported disruptions at certain international airports that have caused inconvenience to passengers. He stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the government is maintaining continuous oversight and coordination to safeguard the interests of Non-Resident Telugus (NRTs).

The Minister said the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) has been directed to extend all necessary assistance to affected individuals. APNRT coordinators stationed across Gulf countries have been placed on high alert and instructed to work closely with local Telugu communities to arrange temporary accommodation, ensure safety, and provide essential support wherever required.

He emphasized that APNRT officials are in constant communication with field coordinators and are reviewing developments on a real-time basis. Stranded individuals have been advised to remain in touch with local Indian Embassies and make use of the helpline services established by the State Government.

APNRTS 24/7 Helpline Details:

Phone: 0863-2340678

WhatsApp: +91 85000 27678

Email: helpline@apnrts.com.

Telugu people facing difficulties in Gulf countries have been requested to immediately share their details through the above contact points for prompt assistance.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Minister said the Andhra Pradesh Government remains steadfast in ensuring the safety, security, and timely support of its citizens residing abroad.
