The Cyberabad police have urged IT companies and offices in the city to exercise staggered logins on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) as heavy overnight rains continued to disrupt traffic and visibility across parts of Hyderabad.

In an early morning advisory by the Business Resilience Command and Control (BRCC) of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), officials advised companies to allow flexible timings and avoid non-essential travel during morning hours. The advisory cited safety, productivity, and uninterrupted emergency movement as key reasons for the measure.

The advisory said that the city had experienced moderate to heavy rains overnight, with showers expected to continue intermittently through the day.

As IT professionals gear up to commence their travels towards Cyberabad, the police have also cautioned them to follow weather and traffic updates on official social media handles, noting that slow and congested traffic is expected across major corridors in Cyberabad.

The service road of the Outer Ring Road skirting the Himayatsagar reservoir in Rajendranagar remains closed after it suffered damage during the September flooding.

Cyberabad police also announced the closure of the Manchirevula village road due to heavy water flow in the Musi. Traffic police personnel are on site, monitoring the situation and coordinating with other departments for safety and clearance. Commuters have been advised to avoid the route and use alternative roads until further notice.

Slow movement of traffic has also been reported between Genpact India Pvt. Ltd. towards the RTA office due in Miyapur to heavy congestion.

According to the Met forecast for October 29, the Cyberabad region is under a yellow alert as Cyclone Montha continues to influence weather pattern.

Rains are likely to ease by late night, but officials have urged residents to remain cautious and plan their commutes with extra time in hand.
