St. Joseph’s College of Engineering hosted the grand finale of the national level Smart India Hackathon 2025 for software engineering on December 8 and 9. It is organised by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation cell and the All India Council for Technical Education. In all, 20 teams with 120 students from all over India participated in the event.
From 1.5 lakh ideas across India, there were solutions for coastal resilience, women’s safety, inclusive education, sustainable fisheries, and digital skilling.
Over the last three years, the Smart India Hackathon has seen thousands of teams turn wild ideas into working solutions using Autodesk tools.
