St. Joseph’s College of Engineering on Wednesday organised the 400th edition of Maperum Tamil Kanavu, a celebration of Tamil language, culture, and educational excellence.

At the inaugural ceremony, Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Govi. Chezhiaan highlighted the importance of Tamil in modern education and youth empowerment. He also gave away Bharathi Youth Awards to two students of the institution.

Among those who participated were P. Shankar, Higher Education Secretary, S. Sundaravalli, Director of Collegiate Education, S. Visakan, Commissioner, Directorate of Technical Education, B. Babu Manoharan, Founder and Chairman, St. Joseph’s Group of Institutions, and B. Shashi Sekar, Managing Director, St. Joseph’s Group of Institutions.
