Srisailam temple trust board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu conducted a surprise inspection of the Laddu Prasadam sales centre and sacred vibuthi sales counter on Sunday.

Mr. Naidu initially examined the stock records at the Laddu Prasadam sales centres and reviewed the ticket issuance process. He also cross-verified the sales figures at the counter against the cash collected.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman instructed the concerned officials to strictly maintain hygiene and cleanliness during the preparation of Laddu and Pulihora Prasadam. He emphasised that the quality of the Prasadam must not be compromised in any way.

He further directed that adequate stocks of Laddu Prasadam be kept ready at all times to meet the requirements of the devotees. Stating that there is usually a heavy influx of devotees on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, public holidays, and auspicious festival days, he instructed that Prasadam production be scaled according to the expected crowd and that appropriate advance arrangements be made.

He stressed the need for systematic, daily planning of Prasadam production and also instructed the staff to take necessary measures to ensure the speedy distribution of Prasadam, thereby preventing devotees from having to wait in long queues at the sales centres. Similarly, instructions were given to the staff to conduct themselves courteously with the devotees.

Subsequently, the temple’s Vibhuti (sacred ash) sales counter was inspected. The stock registers were examined to verify stock entries and daily sales figures, and the cash on hand at the counter was reconciled with the sales records.

Meanwhile, the sudden rush of devotees has prompted the temple management to cancel the break darshan on Monday. Those who come with recommendation letters for VIP darshan will be allowed only alankara darshan, while those who have already booked sparsha darshan tickets online or the Mana Mitra app will be allowed darshan at the fixed timing only. The temple management is providing water and drinking water to the devotees who are waiting for darshan in the queue lines.
