A seven-year-old girl died after her mother allegedly pushed her from the fourth floor of a residential building in Vasanthapuri Colony in Malkajgiri on Monday (December 15, 2025).

The deceased was identified as Sharon Mary. According to an official from the Malkajgiri police, the incident was reported around 2.30 p.m. when the accused, identified as Monalisa, allegedly took the child to the balcony and pushed her down.

The girl was immediately shifted to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Police said preliminary investigation suggested that the accused was suffering from mental health issues, though the exact motive behind the act is yet to be established.

A case has been registered by the Malkajgiri police, and further investigation is underway. The accused is yet to be taken into custody.
