A deadline of September was set for completion of construction works pertaining to double bedroom houses in Telangana. Telangana Housing Corporation’s Managing Director, V.P. Gautham, directed officials to provide necessary infrastructure too at these locations.
At a review meeting held with Project Directors, Deputy Engineers at the Housing Corporation’s office in Hyderabad on Saturday (January 24, 2026), processes related to Indiramma Houses construction, payment of ₹5 lakh financial assistance in installments, 2BHK houses, deadlines to complete the works and other aspects were discussed.
Altogether, 1.58 lakh 2BHKs were allotted to the State. Of them, 1.28 lakh were completed and 90,000 were allotted to people. The remaining 30,000 of the completed houses would be allotted. Works pertaining to 30,000 more incomplete houses are underway.
Based on assessment of the Indiramma Houses works, the Managing Director said that construction of one lakh houses will be completed by March. He directed the Engineering division to ensure that beneficiaries complete the construction with ₹5 lakh.
Housing Corporation consultant S. Eshwaraiah, Chief Engineer M. Chaitanya Kumar, Vigilance Officer P. Balram, General Managers B. Mamatha, M. Sridevi, Superintendent Engineer G. Vijaykumar and others were present at the meeting.
