The Haryana government has appointed senior IPS officer Sibash Kabiraj as the new Police Commissioner of Gurugram, replacing Vikram Kumar Arora.
The Haryana government’s Home Department issued the transfer orders on Sunday (May 18, 2026) night.
A 1999 batch IPS officer, Mr. Kabiraj was earlier posted as Police Commissioner of Panchkula and was holding additional charge of Cyber and State Crime Record Bureau.
Mr. Arora, who was serving as Gurugram police commissioner since July 2024, has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Administration, Panchkula.
