Senior IPS officer A. Arun transferred; placed in Vacancy Reserve amid Veeramani POSCO case

Senior IPS officer A. Arun, who had served as Chennai Police Commissioner and was currently ADGP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, has been transferred and brought to Vacancy Reserve (VR) without posting.

The transfer comes amid controversy over inaction of city police in the POCSO Act complaint involving Gem Granites’ owner, R. Veeramani.

Coimbatore Commissioner N. Kannan IPS has also transferred and brought to VR
