Students from 17 schools showcased their scientific models and projects at a two-day Science and Tech Expo organised by the Anna University to observe National Science Day on Monday, where about 60 projects from affiliated colleges across the State exhibited innovative technologies and research outcomes as well.

Various university research centres, too, showcased their indigenously developed technologies, notable among them being a drone ambulance developed by Dr. Kalam Advanced UAV Research Centre. Quiz, drawing, and essay competitions were also organised where around 200 students from 30 schools participated.

The inaugural was attended by B.T.N. Sridhar, Member, Vice Chancellor Convener Committee, Anna University, and V. Kumaresan, Registrar-in-charge, Anna University, while Indhumathi M. Nambi, Professor of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras, participated at the valedictory.
