Member of AP State Commission for Scheduled Castes Ravada Seetharam requested Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to direct Revenue Department to earmark lands for the construction of cremation grounds and burial grounds in each and every village of the State. Mr. Seetharam met the CM in Amaravati and submitted a detailed report over the lack of burial grounds in several parts of North Andhra region and other places, according to a release.
He stated that the previous lands allocated for them were being occupied in many places in the absence of compound walla and that many Scheduled Caste farmers and labourers were also leading pathetic lives with the occupation of their agriculture lands in Rajam, Etcherla, Kothavalasa and other places.
He said that the CM had responded positively over his requests and assured to issue necessary orders to the Revenue Department within a few days.
