A total of 300 undergraduate students participated in the National Undergraduate Orthodontic Convention hosted by Saveetha Dental College. The participants presented 70 academic papers and posters in various scientific sessions.
Besides, 15 teams participated in a quiz and 20 participants showcased their expertise in wire-bending, a procedure that requires careful bending of metal wires to correct tooth alignment in orthodontics.
N.M. Veeraiyan, Chancellor, Saveetha Dental College, felicitated toppers in BDS examinations in Orthodontics and gave away cash prizes worth Rs. 45,000 to winners of various competitions, a press release said.
