“Tomorrow, you will be taken before the Magistrate for remand. What will you say to the Magistrate?” asked Sub-Inspector Raghu Ganesh.

Dressed in civvies, he looked at 58-year-old Jayaraj and his 31-year-old son Benicks, who were writhing in pain inside the Sattankulam police station in Thoothukudi at around 11.30 p.m. on June 19, 2020.
