A history-sheeter under Bahadurpura Police Station limits was sentenced to imprisonment for a month for violating the conditions of a bind-over order, in a step to maintain law and order in the Falaknuma division.

The accused, identified as Haroon Rasheed, a rowdy sheeter of Bahadurpura, had earlier been bound over under provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code to ensure good behaviour and maintenance of peace within the police station limits. As part of the proceedings, he executed a bond undertaking that he would not indulge in any criminal activity during the bind-over period.

However, police said he was recently found involved in a fresh criminal case, constituting a direct breach of the bond conditions imposed on him.

Following the violation, the Bahadurpura police produced him before the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM), Hyderabad District and sought forfeiture of the bond along with action under the relevant security proceedings.

After examining the records and submissions made by the police, the Special Executive Magistrate found Haroon Rasheed guilty of breaching the bind-over conditions and sentenced him to one month of simple imprisonment.

Subsequently, he was taken into custody and, after completion of formalities, lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda to serve his sentence.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Falaknuma Division, M.A. Javeed, stated that the Hyderabad police will take stringent action against history-sheeters and anti-social elements who disturb public peace or violate court-imposed conditions.
