Rise in sales of Milma’s dairy products during Onam season

The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), recognised by its brand name Milma, has recorded a significant increase in the sale of milk and other dairy products during this year’s Onam season.

From August 20 to 25 (Uthradam day), which marks the beginning of the Onam festivities, Milma recorded a total sale of 1,45,76,846.63 litres of milk, with 5.61% increase from last year during this period. The total sale of curd stood at 18,09,331.50 kg with a growth of 9.68% during the period.

In the five days leading up to Uthradam, Milma’s Thiruvananthapuram Regional Co-operative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) reported 5.86% increase in the sale of milk from the same period last year. Besides, the TRCMPU has 7.94% increase in the total sale of curd from last year. During the period from August 1 to 25, TRCMPU sold 297.85 tonnes of ghee.

Ernakulam Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) has clocked 4.62% and 16.44% growth in milk and curd respectively from last year during the period. The sale of ghee this year is 172.58 tonnes (August 1-25).

Meanwhile, Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (MRCMPU) reported a 6.03% increase from last year in the total sale of milk, while the growth percentage of total sale of curd is 8.7%. It sold 358.35 tonnes of ghee this year from August 1 to 25.

Expresses gratitude

KCMMF chairperson K.S. Mani expressed profound gratitude to the consumers for their unwavering loyalty to Milma products, acknowledging that this commitment played a crucial role in achieving such remarkable sales figures this Onam season.

He also extended his appreciation to the federation’s board of directors, three regional unions, management teams, dairy farmers, Milma employees.
