A Non-Resident Indian (NRI) who arrived in Hyderabad from San Francisco on Friday (December 12, 2025) evening had his misplaced travel bag traced and returned within hours, following a swift response from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Outpost Police.

According to officials, Srikanth Vudathala approached the police after realising he had lost his bag shortly after landing on KLM Flight 873. The bag contained his U.S. passport, his mother’s Indian passport, $900 and ₹15,000 in cash.

Police reviewed the CCTV footage and conducted a detailed search of the area. The bag, with all its belongings intact, was traced in a short span of time and handed back to Mr. Vudathala after verification.
