The government aims to ensure that children do not experience difficulties in studies, Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen has said. The government is committed to bringing all children into the mainstream of education and equipping them with life skills, he added. He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Revive – Navajeevanam’ programme being implemented by the General Education department through the Samagra Shiksha Keralam at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, here on Tuesday.

Revive aims at addressing difficulties faced by lower and upper primary students in Malayalam, English, and Mathematics. It will identify areas where students lag behind, implement effective teaching-learning activities, analyse learning achievements, and continuously improve teaching practice, the Minister said.

Revive, one of the 16 programmes planned by the General Education department as part of the government’s 100-day programme, will also help provide opportunities to students in further studies and careers. Minister for Health K. Muraleedharan presided over the meeting. Samagra Shiksha Keralam State project director K. Mohanakumar was present.
