How fast can a government degree college announce examination results?

The Government College for Women (Autonomous) in Mandya has set a new standard in academic administration by announcing undergraduate examination results on the same day the exams concluded.

For the academic year 2025-26, undergraduate examinations for BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, BCA, BFSI and E-Commerce courses were conducted from January 2 to January 31. The examinations concluded on January 31, and the entire evaluation process was completed by 4 p.m. the same day. Within an hour, at 5 p.m., the results were formally announced.

The achievement, rare for a government institution, has drawn appreciation from students, parents and academic circles alike.

College principal, Prof. Gururaj Prabhu K. attributed the success to the disciplined efforts of both teaching and non-teaching staff and the effective use of technology in the examination process.

He acknowledged the commitment and discipline of the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Ravikanth Lambani, and his team, which ensured the smooth completion of evaluation within a tight time frame. The principal also commended evaluation coordinator Madegowda M. and other staff members who contributed to delivering timely exam results..

Prof. Prabhu expressed confidence that the timely declaration of results would positively impact students’ academic progress and also ensure the smooth continuation of their studies. He added that the college plans to continue this practice in the coming years.

Controller of Examinations Dr. Ravikanth Lambani congratulated the examination committee members, evaluators from Mandya and Mysuru districts, departmental board chairpersons and faculty members for their collective effort.

At a time when students often wait for months for examination results, the college’s achievement has won appreciation, he added.
