Even as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on March 3 announced that they will play five league matches on their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, sources in the committee overseeing the stadium’s readiness told The Hindu that conducting the matches is still subject to their “clearance”.

The source said that the cabinet has given a conditional nod to allow the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches at the stadium. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is required to comply with 17 major suggestions drafted by the expert committee to get final clearance.
