Ravi Teja’s latest release, Irumudi, has made a strong start at the Indian box office. The Shiva Nirvana directorial, which hit theatres on August 21, has managed to attract audiences with its emotional storyline and Ravi Teja’s performance. Despite the competition, the Telugu film crossed the Rs 30 crore mark in India within two days.
Apart from Ravi Teja, the film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Swasika Vijay, Saikumar Pudipeddi and Ajay Ghosh in key roles. Let’s find out how much the film earned at the box office on August 22.
Irumudi crosses Rs 30 crore mark in two days
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Irumudi opened with an impressive Rs 15.30 crore net in India on Day 1. On Day 2, the film witnessed a slight growth in its earnings, collecting Rs 16.10 crore across 2,943 shows. With this, its total collection in India stands at Rs 31.40 crore.
On Day 2, Irumudi recorded its highest Telugu occupancy of 78.54%. The film witnessed its highest occupancy during the night shows at 88.31%, followed by 82.85% in the evening, 80% in the afternoon and 63% in the morning.
In terms of its worldwide collection, the film has grossed Rs 47.45 crore so far, including Rs 11 crore from overseas markets.
Notably, the film has also received positive reactions from audiences, with many X users praising Ravi Teja’s performance and the emotional aspects of the story.

The Telugu film Irumudi is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banners of Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series Films. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. It is edited by Prawin Pudi, with cinematography by Vishnu Sarma.
Ravi Teja’s work front
On the work front, Telugu superstar Ravi Teja was last seen in Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi (BMW), which was released on January 13 during Sankranti. The film later premiered on the OTT platform Zee5 on March 13, 2026. Directed by Thirumala Kishore, the film also stars Edin Rose and Ashika Ranganath in key roles. Before BMW, the Khadgam actor was seen in Mass Jathara (2025) and Mr Bachchan (2024).
