Moviegoers heading to theatres for Spider-Man: Brand New Day this week are in for a surprise. Apart from watching the Marvel film, audiences will also get to see the latest trailers of Ramayana and Avengers: Doomsday on the big screen before the movie begins. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to hit theatres on July 30.
Ramayana, Avengers: Doomsday trailers to play before Spider-Man: Brand New Day
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, both trailers of Ramayana and Avengers: Doomsday will be attached to Spider-Man: Brand New Day screenings across India on July 30. It was mentioned that viewers watching Spider-Man: Brand New Day in cinemas will get an added bonus as the theatrical trailers of Avengers: Doomsday and the latest trailer of Ramayana will be screened before the film starts.
Ramayana trailer release was postponed
The trailer for Ranbir Kapoor-led Ramayana was slated for release on July 24. However, the same was postponed just hours before the trailer release, and producer Namit Malhotra posted a statement.
He announced that their film is collaborating with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The producer wrote, “Today marks a very special moment for our Ramayana. My dream of taking Ramayana to the world is coming true through our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Consequently, we will now launch our trailer globally at a later date. It will be a proud moment in the 100 plus years of Indian cinema when Ramayana is showcased to the entire world, much like a major global Hollywood film.”
He further added, “This will open a door for people across the globe to discover the richness of our culture and stories. I thank all the fans and believers of Ramayana for helping make this possible. The youth of our country are our future. Let us all strive together to safeguard that future. Jai Hind.”
Ramayana cast and release date
Based on the epic Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological drama brings together one of the biggest ensembles in Indian cinema. Ranbir Kapoor steps into the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi plays Sita. Kannada superstar Yash essays Ravana, with Sunny Deol portraying Hanuman and Ravi Dubey appearing as Lakshman.
The two-part epic is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios in association with Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Both films are planned for a global IMAX release. Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled to arrive in theatres during Diwali 2026, while Ramayana Part 2 will release in Diwali 2027.
