Delhi HC reserves verdict in Rajpal Yadav’s cheque bounce case

As per the recent updates, the Delhi High Court on Thursday reserved the verdict in Rajpal Yadav’s cheque bounce case. No settlement was reached at today’s hearing. Earlier in March 2026, Bhooth Bangla actor Rajpal Yadav was granted relief by the Delhi HC in this case, with the court stating that he would not be sent to jail after making a “substantial” payment.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma said, “I am not sending him (Rajpal Yadav) to jail right now. He has made a substantial payment.” The court gave Rajpal Yadav the option to either return the money or settle the matter.

According to the submission, Rajpal Yadav has already paid Rs 4.25 crore to Murli Projects Private Limited, and an additional Rs 25 lakh was to be given via demand draft on the hearing day.  The court noted that a sufficient amount had been paid and granted relief, saying he would not be sent back to jail.
