To manage the festive rush of passengers during Deepavali 2025, the Central Railway has announced the continuation of the SMVT Bengaluru –Bidar bi-weekly special trains for an additional 18 trips. The services, which were earlier notified to run until late September, will now continue through October and early November.

According to a release from the Solapur Division of Central Railway, train no. 06539 SMVT Bengaluru – Bidar Bi-Weekly Special, earlier scheduled to operate till September 28, will now continue to run every Friday and Sunday until October 31. Similarly, Train No. 06540 Bidar–SMVT Bengaluru Bi-Weekly Special, which was to run up to September 29, will now continue every Saturday and Monday until November 1.

The composition of the trains will remain unchanged. Both trains will have stoppages at Kalaburagi, Shahabad, and Wadi stations, which fall under the Solapur Division of Central Railway.

Reservation and booking for these extended trips are available at all computerised reservation centres and through the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in). Passengers travelling in unreserved coaches can book tickets at station counters or via the UTS mobile app. The Railways has urged passengers to travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience.

For detailed timings and halts, passengers can visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or check the NTES mobile app.
