Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Chennai on Saturday to participate in a meeting with 74 District Congress Committee presidents at a hotel on East Coast Road near Mamallapuram.

Sources in the party said that it would be a closed door meeting with no access to the media. Mr. Gandhi is expected to meet and greet the families of district presidents and speak about rebuilding the party in Tamil Nadu, which is experiencing a new found bounce, thanks to being a part of the State Government after almost 59 years since the party lost power in 1967.

TNCC president, Manickam Tagore, Congress State Ministers, S. Rajeshkumar and P. Viswanathan, are likely to take part in the meeting. Party sources have said that a grand reception has been planned in the airport on Saturday morning to welcome Mr. Gandhi.
