Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee has passed away at the age of 43 in Talsari, Odisha. As per initial information, the actor was shooting for a television serial when he reportedly fell into the sea and died in a boating incident.
The West Bengal Police are investigating the matter and are coordinating with the Balasore Police in Odisha to gather more information about the incident.

What did Rahul Banerjee’s co-actor Diganta Bagchi say about the incident?
His co-actor Diganta Bagchi shared that Rahul Banerjee had gone to the beach to shoot for the Bengali TV show Bhole Baba Par Karega. He further added, “After today’s shoot, he went alone to the water but somehow got entangled in something under the water. The exact circumstances are not clear. Suddenly, people, including crew members, were shouting that Rahul was drowning and we pulled him out of the water. We rushed him to Digha hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.”
Moreover, director Raj Chakraborty expressed his shock over sudden demise of Rahul Banerjee, saying, “When I first heard about his death, I couldn’t believe it. I really hoped it wasn’t true. Later, it was confirmed.” Chakraborty, who directed Chirodini Tumi Je Amar and had cast Rahul in the lead role, remembered him as a spontaneous actor with incredible talent. “I am still in complete shock,” he added.
Actor-director Anjan Dutta, who had known Rahul Banerjee for several years, said he was not in a condition to comment on the incident.
