Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival from tomorrow

The Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival, is set to commence in Hyderabad from Friday, marking its 20th edition with the theme ‘Stalwarts to Next-Gen’. The festival, spread over three weekends, will bring together legendary names of Indian theatre alongside the emerging voices of a new generation. The festival this year will showcase performances from established veterans such as Mahesh Elkunchwar, Mohan Agashe, Sharmila Tagore, Lilette Dubey, Shobha De, Baharul Islam, Alakhnanda, Swapon Mondal, and Moin Ali Baig. Sharing the stage with them will be debutants including Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, Shashi Kapoor’s grandson Zahan Kapoor, and Anirudh Sarkar, the protégé of the late Usha Ganguly, among others. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Governor Jishnu Dev Varma extended their wishes to the participants.
