Actor Allu Arjun has been named among 23 accused in the charge sheet filed in connection with the stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Roads, Chikkadpally, in December 2024. The charge sheet, filed earlier this week by the Chikkadpally police, also names the actor’s personal security staff and the theatre management.

The chargesheet was submitted over a year after the case was registered. The incident occurred on the night of December 4, 2024, during the premiere show, when a stampede broke out, killing 35-year-old M. Revathi and leaving her nine-year-old son, Sritej, critically injured.

“The investigation has been completed with all the evidence on record, and the final report has been filed before the court. The legal process will now take its course,” am official close to the investigation said.

Sritej was admitted to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, on the night of the incident in a semi-conscious state with dangerously low oxygen levels. He was intubated and placed on ventilator support in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, where he remained for over four months. He was discharged on April 29, 2025, and later shifted to a neuro-rehabilitation facility in Hyderabad, where he continues to undergo long-term treatment.

Revathi and her family had gone to the screening as Sritej was an ardent fan of the actor.

The actor and the other accused were subjected to several rounds of questioning during the course of the probe.
